Music of the Baroque: Classical Gems From The Family Bach
Born into a musical dynasty that stretched over 250 years and six generations, three of the great J. S. Bach's sons were noted composers in their own right. Conductor Jane Glover and the Music of the Baroque orchestra explore diverse works by Wilhelm Friedemann, Carl Philipp Emanuel, and Johann Christian Bach in a program that also includes one of their father's beloved violin concertos. Devoted to the performance of 18th-century works, Music of the Baroque is among Chicago's leading classical music groups. They'll celebrate the prolific Bach family at Harris Theater for Music and Dance in Millennium Park.
