"One of the most striking things about seeing Lenker perform is his relationship with his guitar. He doesn't just play it, he becomes it - or, maybe, it becomes a part of him." - No Depression
Korby Lenker was born and raised in Twin Falls, Idaho but has been working out of Nashville for the last ten years. His 7th album, ‘Thousand Springs' was made after raising $20,000 on Kickstarter, which enabled him to purchase gear sufficient to record "off the grid" - in the desert and mountains where he grew up.
He's won several awards for his songs, toured internationally, and shared the stage with such luminaries as Willie Nelson, Ray LaMontagne, Nickel Creek, Chris Isaak, Susan Tedeschi, and many others. Most recently, Korby took 1st place at the Rocky Mountain Folks Fest Songwriter's Showcase. Past winners include Gregory Alan Isakov, Liz Longley and Deb Talan of The Weepies.
Not only is he a gifted singer and songwriter, but Korby is a published author. His first book, MEDIUM HERO, is a collection of short stories and came out on Turner Publishing in December 2015 to enthusiastic reviews.
