  • A: At the Fairfield Inn & Suites Chicago Downtown, check in is at 3:00 pm and check out is at 12:00 pm. The hotel is more than happy to hold your luggage before or after check in/out times if needed as complimentary service.
  • A: Marriott International has a smoke-free policy. If a guest smokes in the hotel, he or she is penalized a $250 deep-cleaning fee. We take pride in a clean, smoke-free environment for all our guests to enjoy comfortably.
  • A: We are pleased to offer complimentary Internet access in all public spaces and guest rooms. Guest rooms also have complimentary wired Internet access, if needed.
  • A: Yes. Our fitness center is open from 6am-11pm, with keyed access for guests. The gym is located on the 2nd floor of the Fairfield Inn & Suites Chicago Downtown, and equipped with 3 treadmills, 2 elliptical machines, free weights, benches, an s weight machine. The fitness center is open for guest use from 6am-11pm every day. Planet fitness passes available, fees may apply.
  • A: Our business services are located on the main floor in our lobby. We have 2 computer kiosks with printing capabilities. Additional services or requests can be accommodated at the front desk such as copies and faxing.
  • A: Yes, we have ADA accessible rooms available upon request. It is highly recommended to contact the hotel in advance when requesting an ADA accessible room. We have 3 double/doubles and 2 suites with roll-in showers.
  • A: We would be happy to receive a package on your behalf. Please notate on the package that you are a guest at the hotel, including your arrival date, so we can have your package ready upon your arrival to the hotel.
  • A: An ATM is located in the lobby of the hotel on the main floor near the Front Desk. The ATM charges a $3.00 fee for use.
  • A: We include a delicious hot breakfast complete with scrambled eggs and pork sausage, complimentary Wi-Fi internet access, complimentary access of the fitness and business centers, and complimentary local phone calls.
  • A: The Fairfield Inn & Suites Chicago Downtown/Magnificent Mile offers a complimentary breakfast buffet with hot and cold foods on the 2nd floor, from 6:00 am -10:00 am.
  • A: There are many options when traveling to the hotel depending upon your personal choice of public transportation or driving. You will not need a car when you are visiting Chicago, so please plan accordingly. Below are a few simple options: Take the Metra or Amtrak to downtown and a quick 10 minute taxi ride.
    Take the Red Line CTA to the Grand Station and walk 3 blocks east on Grand, 2 blocks north on Michigan Avenue, and 2 blocks east on Ontario Street.
    Take I-90E and exit Ohio Street, turn left on Fairbanks, and left Ontario Street. Take I-290E or 94W, merge to 1-90W and exit Ohio Street, turn left on Fairbanks, and left Ontario Street.
  • A: We do not offer free shuttle service to and from the airports but we refer all guests to utilize Airport Express shuttle service at 1-888-284-3826 or http://www.airportexpress.com/. Rates vary depending upon the number of people in your group.
  • A: We are located on Ontario Street, between St. Clair and Fairbanks. The hotel is close to Magnificent Mile, with easy access to Northwestern Hospital, Navy Pier, Millennium Park, Water Tower Place and the Loop Business District.
  • A: Fairfield Inn & Suites Chicago Downtown/Magnificent Mile offers valet parking for $58 a day, with in and out privileges. You can call down and only wait 10-15 minutes for valet service to return your car. We partner with Erie Ontario Self-Parking garage, located on Ontario and Fairbanks. There is an entrance on Ontario and Erie Streets. Self-parking is $42 per day without in and out privileges.
  • A: Both Airports are about a 30 minute drive from the hotel without traffic and about an hour during morning and evening rush hour traffic. A taxi ride is approximately $30-40.
  • A: The closest train stop is the Red Line Grand Station. It is 5 blocks from the hotel, next to Bed Bath and Beyond.
  • A: The closest pick up stop for the Trolley is on Fairbanks and Illinois Streets. Guests can take the trolley to some of Chicago's most historic and popular sights, and get off anytime to do some exploring of their own.

    Yes. You will find the closest shuttle to Navy Pier shuttle at Grand and St. Clair -  https://navypier.com/trolley/. The shuttle runs May 24 - September 2.The hours are as follows:
    • Monday - 10:00 a.m. - 10 p.m.
    • Tuesday - 10 a.m. - 10 p.m.
    • Wednesday - 10 a.m. - 10:30 p.m.
    • Thursday - 10 a.m. - 10 p.m.
    • Friday - 10 a.m. - 12:30 a.m.
    • Saturday - 10 a.m. - 12:30 a.m.
    • Sunday - 10 a.m. - 10 p.m.
  • A: The 146 bus travels to the Museum Campus; Shedd Aquarium, Field Museum, Adler Planetarium. It can be picked up on Ohio and Michigan Avenue facing southbound and dropped off on Ontario and Michigan Avenue facing northbound.
  • A: The hotel does offer complimentary pack-and-plays in guestrooms for your toddlers, based on availability. Please request a pack-and-play prior to your arrival to ensure we have one ready.

  • A: There are two Walgreens Pharmacies within walking distance to the hotel. One is located on Michigan Avenue and Chicago and is a full pharmacy, about 5 blocks from the hotel. There is a second location inside Northwestern hospital in the main lobby located right behind the hotel but has a limited supply of medication. 7-Eleven is located on Ohio and St. Clair, 2 blocks away.

  • A: There are two main locations downtown for nightlife, River North on Hubbard Street and in the Gold Coast on Rush and Division. These areas consist of restaurants, bars, lounges, and dance clubs.
